Boxers
CoachesThe United States has four levels of Amateur Boxing Coaches. Each level must be achieved before attaining the next successive level. Levels are attained through knowledge and deed. Knowledge is obtained by experience and attending classes at Olympic Springs Training center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Deed is obtained by coaching at the local, national and international levels. Levels I and II status are obtained at the local & national level through coaching experience and learning the rules and regulations of USA boxing from the USA Boxing Rulebook. Level III status is obtained by further study at Olympic Springs and attending a national competition as a coach or by coaching at training clinic(s) for elite USA amateur boxers. Level IV is obtained by coaching elite USA boxers at the international level. Coaches attaining Levels I, II & III are dedicated to the sport of amateur boxing. Level IV coaching status is a requirement for coaching the USA boxers at the Olympics. Level IV coaches are the elite of amateur boxing and will have devoted many years to have attained this status.
